Parallel and Perpendicular lines

If two lines are represented by equations y1 = m1x1 + c and other is y2 = m2x2 + c, then m1 and m2 represent their slopes. It both the lines are perpendicular to each other then m1m2 = -1.
For example, 2y + x = 4 and 2x + y = -5 are perpendicular lines.
