Algebra Distribute multiplication of two binomials by using foil method

We now discuss in Algebra section. The topic is Distribute multiplication of two binomials by using foil method.

The FOIL Method come from the words "first", "outer", "inner", "last".

Here FOIL stands for: (x + 4)(x + 5) Where, both 'x' are the first element, 4 and second x are the inner element, first x and 5 are the outer element and 4 and 5 are the last elements.

In a Foil Method, multiply the first terms in each of the parentheses, then multiply the two terms that are on the "outside", then the two terms that are on the "inside", and then the last terms in each of the parentheses.

Now i should multiply two binomials we using distributive law, and then combine like terms. When multiplying (a + b)(a + 5b), we should follow the steps

1. Apply Distributive Law :  a (a + 5b) and b(a + 5b).

2. Simplify the expressions to a2 + 10ab and ab + 5b2

3. Add like terms in the expression and your answer is 6a2+ 31ab + 35b2
